The town of Amarillo posted a picture last week showing a seemingly shaggy figure hiding in the dark outside the perimeter fence of the Amarillo Zoo. According to CNN, a motion-activated camera alerted zoo officials after the photo was taken at 1:25 a.m. of 21 May. “Is he a man with a weird hat who likes to walk at night?” said on Twitter the city of Texas. “A chupacabra? Do you have any idea what this UAO- Unidentified Object Amarillo could be?” It may not be the bloodthirsty chupacabra, a legendary folklore creature in parts of America, but whatever the camera captured has sparked a fierce online discussion. Strange, silly and serious theories range from the bigfoot, Sonic the Hedgehog to a coyote jump. Thousands of people have joined social media. Michael Kashuba, director of parks and recreation at Amarillo, told CNN that he could be “a raccoon standing on its hind legs, or possibly a man walking in the park who happened to be captured in a strange way.” . In a Facebook post, the zoo said: “Of all the creatures at our much-loved zoo, it would be the unknown that would make us viral.”
