From June 20, domestic and outgoing international travelers will no longer need to show proof of vaccination before boarding a plane or train. The vaccine mandate for workers in these federally regulated travel sectors will also be abolished. 			Tests, quarantine for unvaccinated travelers 			 

If travelers entering Canada have not been vaccinated, they are still subject to tests and quarantine measures. Proof of negative PCR or other molecular test is required within 72 hours of arrival in Canada or a negative antigen test taken the day before at a pharmacy, laboratory or other medical facility.

Once in Canada, unvaccinated travelers are also subject to on-site testing at airports across the country. Unvaccinated travelers must also be quarantined for 14 days and submit a quarantine plan through the ArriveCAN app. Another test for COVID-19 should be done on the eighth day of quarantine. 			Random test for all travelers			 

Last week, Ottawa announced that it had temporarily suspended all random COVID-19 tests of incoming vaccinated passengers at Canadian airports until June 30. The tests will resume on July 1, but all tests will take place off-site – including unvaccinated travelers. Despite the lifting of the vaccination order for air and rail travelers, cruise ship passengers and crew members will still need to be fully vaccinated.
