A large number of officers are conducting extensive searches in the area, near the junction with Campbell Street. Officials say their presence is related to reports of “concern for the safety of a woman on a property on Boundary Road” that took place this afternoon. A Merseyside police spokesman said: “There is no cause for concern for the public as we deal with this incident.” Police groups are cleaning down the front of the houses, near Wainwrights newspapers and opposite the Boundary Road baths. Detective dogs have also been seen on the road. At least 12 police vehicles have been parked on the road, with three Matrix trucks on Campbell Street. Police on Boundary Street Earlier in the day, St. Helens police said four men had been arrested on suspicion of altercation and possession of a firearm following reports of unrest near Cambridge Road and Queens Park. However, it does not seem to matter. Police are investigating Boundary Street Neighbors told the Star they were shocked to see the huge number of officers in the area. Someone said: “If you think there are a lot of cops here now, you should have seen it before. “They asked if we had CCTV in the area.”
