A police officer was parked on a plot of land on Marconi Avenue, southeast of Trafalgar and Clarke Streets, at about 1pm on Monday, when four men approached his vehicle and asked to know what he was doing there, police said on Tuesday. One man knocked on the driver’s window while the others circled around the vehicle, police said. “The police officer tried to de-escalate the situation and the suspects threatened him,” said police spokesman Const. said Sandasha Bough. The officer called for a reserve and officers soon arrived and arrested two suspects, both of whom continued to threaten the undercover officer, police said. The other two suspects fled, but police arrested them nearby and confiscated a loaded pistol from one of them, police said.
