Around 1:10 p.m., police responded to a dangerous gun call at St. Louis High School. Aloysius Gonzaga, near Winston Churchill and Erin Mills Parkway.
Police say there were reports of a student walking into the room with a gun.
As a result, Gonzaga was put on lockdown and the nearby John Fraser High School was taken into custody and secured.
The student was located a short time later and the police confirmed that the weapon they had was fake.
No threats or injuries were reported.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
An hour after the incident was reported, police posted on Twitter that the lockdown and detention and security had been lifted at both schools.
Police say there is no further threat to public safety.
